Frequently asked questions

What equipment (devices) do I need to teach online?


Infrustructure to work from home including a strong and stable internet connection. Clients may have more specific requirements in terms of the equipment, but this will be outlined in the job specific information.




How do I get paid?


All the companies offer both domestic bank transfer and overseas transfer, as well as PayPal




How many lessons am I required to give each week?


This depends on the position. Some positions require you to teach a minimum of 5-12 hours a week, whereas others offer more flexibility by allowing you to determine your own schedule.

Where are the students from?


The majority of students are based in Asia, but for certain positions you will be teaching Latin American, Russian and African students




How much will I get paid?


All companies offer a combination of hourly basic rate and performance bonuses.

Some companies have lower base rates but higher performance bonuses and vice versa.

For the positions offered by CES the earning range is US$ 11 – US$ 25 per hour.




How many students will be in my class?


Some positions are strictly 1-on-1 whereas others are for small groups of students (3-4).

Rarely would you have more than 6 students in a class.




How long is a typical class?


The positions we are currently offering have a variety of positions we have 20 min, 25 min, 30 min, 45 min and 55 min classes positions available. The length of the class will be clearly communicated to you during your interview.




What if I don’t hear from the client after I submit my application?


Be sure to check your spam folder in your mailbox. If you have received no response for 4 days please contact teach@continuumservices.org for assistance.




How long will the hiring process take?


The entire process should be completed within 2 weeks. Remember that there are many candidates for popular positions so you would want to complete all steps without delay to create a perception of positivity and enthusiasm!
